CAI Catalysts helps clients to develop and improve their catalyst manufacturing processes. One of our core competencies is the coating of high surface area materials onto a variety of substrate materials including ceramic and metal honeycomb, extrusions, spheres, wound fibers and many other specialty supports. Process Control & Optimization: With the sensitive nature of many catalytically- driven processes and the extremely high value of the catalyst components, it is critical that the manufacture of the catalysts themselves is well controlled and optimized for both quality assurance and utilization of raw materials. CAI evaluates and improves existing manufacturing processes, implementing efficient catalyst production procedures that are tailored to an individual client’s specific needs. Process Development and Scale-up: CAI’s technical staff are experts in the transfer of catalyst preparation techniques from the laboratory bench-top to mass production scale. Their combination of knowledge in the application of catalysts to various chemical processes and in the various manufacturing techniques that can be used to produce large numbers of catalysts allow them to develop innovative solutions to scale-up issues. Manufacturing Facility Development: It is important to not only have processes in place to manufacture catalysts, but also to have the proper process equipment and control systems that are capable of accurately applying the materials and monitoring the coating process. CAI brings a vast experience in both the design and operation of customized coating equipment and specification and use of process control and analytical instrumentation to ensure that the production processes stay in control. |
